**Job Summary**
This fully in-person position provides essential support to the registration and record-keeping functions in the Office of the Registrar. This role provides business continuity and improvement and involves guiding and supporting a team of records and registration specialists, managing complex processes, and implementing improvements to enhance service delivery for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. The coordinator also contributes to high-impact projects and initiatives that support the strategic goals of the office.
**Responsibilities**
1. Reads, interprets, understands and applies policies to remediate complex student and university issues, ensuring compliance with office, university, state and Federal policies, rules, and regulations.
2. Provides exceptional customer service when resolving on multi-faceted student cases which are complex in nature and require intra-departmental collaboration and troubleshooting.
3. Serves as an expert in all registration and records (transcripts, student verifications) functions, providing training and support and coverage during times of need.
4. Records, monitors, and verifies required data and information into student database and information systems.
5. Responsible for data entry, filing/archiving and correction of registration, records, and transcripts. Ensures data entry is processed correctly, using queries and reports to inform the development or refinement of existing procedures.
6. Will be primary point of contact for complex processes and projects— including but not limited to dual enrollment, campus change, withdrawals, leaves, graduate and professional registration, and evaluates and recommends solutions for irregular academic record changes.
7. Fill in for employees in Registration and Records and Transcripts and Verifications when employees are out of the office.
Problem-solving: This position provides independent coordination and decision making for all activities of a specified program. The program outcome often impacts the University as a whole. Acts as a liaison between internal and external constituencies involved in program activities. Problems arising from these coordination efforts will be addressed by the incumbent who will refer to the manager for issues outside of program policy and procedure guidelines.
**Minimum Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency. Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
**EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience. (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience.)**
