Position purpose:
Performs all duties associated with the scheduling/registration processes within Imaging Services Department as well as Forest Park Imaging.
What you will do:
Performs all essential functions as established in the Patient Registration Representative job description.
Performs all essential functions as established in the Scheduler job description.
Maintains required department confidentiality and abides by HIPPA regulations.
Provides competent patient care to the above indicated patient populations by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments.
Takes an active role in enhancing ability to carry out job functions through personal and professional/job-related growth and development and participates in medical center and/or departmental education programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
High School diploma/GED required.
Medical Secretary/Assistant degree/diploma preferred.
Experience:
At least one year of employment in a medical office setting preferred.
Computer/PC experience required.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Documented excellent interpersonal skills a plus.
Must demonstrate good comprehension of medical terminology.
Must be able to type at least 45 WPM.
Ability to interact with patients & their relatives, visitors, and coworkers using tact/diplomacy/compassion/respect is a necessary attribute.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Good working knowledge of office equipment preferred.
Must be flexible in work schedule.
May be required to alternate shifts.
