Job Title: Regulatory Affairs - Ice Cream Thailand

Overview

To translate this mission efficiently into action, and to ensure that we comply with its own high standards as well as with the technical aspects of legislation, we are looking for a talented Regulatory Affairs who will play a crucial role in ensuring our products comply with all relevant regulations and standards. This person will be responsible for all regulatory pillars that are: Compliance, Innovation & Advocacy in the country and will work closely with internal stakeholders and interact with external stakeholders, to navigate the complex regulatory landscape and support the successful launch of new products. 

The main purpose of the job, accountabilities and key tasks are :

Coordinates product compliance in the country:

Manages product compliance implementation in the country and ensures the execution of local regulation by submit & follow up notifications/registrations.Contributes to the assessment of regulatory compliance related to sourcing unit change.Be the first point of contact and expert of local regulatory and compliance requirements, manage implementation of changed/new legislation in relevant products and contributes to/give training to relevant team.

Coordinate the regulatory strategy, organisation and guidance for the innovation projects  in a country:

- Ensure the execution of regulatory input to the innovation projects and provides a regulatory review/assessments (pre lock).

- Contributes to Regional Asia RA network & BU network to update on country regulatory related matters such as:

What's going on in markets/challenges/in/outRegulatory summaries on country specific areas (halal, import permit, DVS, DLD, etc.)Competitor MonitoringInformation on issue management and regulatory news

- Support innovation/renovation project in the country by contributes to claims approval process (through local claims forum) and provide mitigation risk to anticipates regulatory challenges for the future which could drive the external influencing agenda for the country advocacy and innovation plans

- To work with local regulatory consultants and/or external regulatory experts related to the innovation projects and/or country regulation

Be the RA contact on advocacy topic for the country:

Monitors the external environment in the country & liaise with regional & global to get the landscape outside the country.Drives & lobby for change in regulation or establishing new product regulations (proactively influence) to expand the innovation space.Defends company position in the face of new regulations or amendment in regulations.Support the advocacy effort on regulation/legislation harmonization through local industry association

Profile :

Bachelor/Master degree in Science or equivalent degreeGood communication skills in English, both written and verbalExperience and expertise in local regulations/legislations (ice cream/confectionery, foods)Ability to liaise with other functions internally and with Authorities externallyFully operational in interpreting complex regulationsWorking knowledge in advocacy and negotiation skills;Capable to pro-actively engage with and manage stakeholdersAttention to details, very-well organised, and logical/systematic thinking
