Description We are in search of a Regulatory Analyst - US based in Midland, Texas. This role involves providing regulatory support and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. It also requires effective interaction with internal teams and external representatives. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with asset teams to complete and submit regulatory filings such as drilling permits, completions, recompletions, flare permits, commingle permits, and injection permits along with all associated forms.
• Investigate and assist in the resolution of compliance issues.
• Keep our in-house tracking systems updated with current information.
• Liaise with survey companies to request and review as-drilled plats.
• Share filings with relevant teams and departments as necessary.
• Assist in the review of assets for compliance issues during acquisitions and divestitures.
• Partner with service companies to obtain, review, and file W-15s.
• Manage the data collection for completion packets.
• Evaluate and rectify violation notices for assigned areas. Requirements • Proficiency in operations management, with a focus on regulatory compliance
• Strong research skills to facilitate effective decision-making
• Ability to review and interpret complex regulatory documents
• Experience in supervising and coordinating team tasks
• Expertise in local, state, and federal regulations
• Proficient in filing and managing regulatory filings
• Comprehensive understanding of compliance functions and their implementation
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration
• Ability to handle and distribute notices as per regulatory requirements
• Expertise in data collection and management for regulatory purposes
• Experience with acquisitions and divestitures in a regulated environment
• Demonstrated capability in regulatory compliance
• Critical thinking skills to solve complex regulatory issues
• Proficiency in preparing and handling packets for regulatory submissions
• Ability to interpret and apply regulations in various situations
• Familiarity with track system management for regulatory purposes
• Experience liaising with regulatory agencies for compliance matters
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in oilfield operations
• Ability to prepare and interpret plats in a regulatory context
• Experience with photocopying or scanning documents for regulatory submissions
• Knowledge of federal rules and their application in a regulated environment
