Job Title: Regulatory and Permitting Coordinator

At all times the Job Holder will:

Ensure all legal division activities comply with HSE policies, Code of Conduct, and directives Demonstrate personal commitment to HSSE Policy Maintain awareness and compliance with statutory and company HSE standards Actively participate in safety awareness and initiatives Activities

The Regulatory and Permitting Coordinator will assist the General Counsel and be responsible for:

Managing and coordinating permitting and regulatory workstreams Tracking all PLANCs (Permits, Licenses, Approvals, Notifications, Consents) across the project lifecycle Maintaining permitting registers and compliance systems (e.g., Weston Compliance) Liaising with government authorities, legal advisors, and internal stakeholders Collaborating with HSSE, Public Affairs, and technical teams for permitting documentation Supporting internal clients in obtaining regulatory permits Facilitating internal reviews and approvals of permitting documents Acting as external interface with licensing authorities and contractors Organizing and gathering required documentation for applications Ensuring legal soundness of permitting activities Preparing reports on permitting status, risks, and compliance metrics Archiving permitting documentation for audits and legal review Context & Environment Strategic importance for LNG operations in PNG Sensitive and challenging environment (project, country, security, partnerships) High challenges in Communities, Social & Economic development, Biodiversity, and Environment Accountabilities Ensure timely acquisition of PLANCs to avoid delays Submit high-quality applications that meet legal and company standards Required Qualifications/Experience Experience: Minimum 5 years in regulatory affairs, permitting, or legal compliance in energy/infrastructure Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field Knowledge: Strong understanding of PNG regulatory frameworks and permitting processes Preferred: Experience in LNG or large-scale infrastructure projects; ability to manage ambiguity and work independently under tight deadlines
