Regulatory Compliance Specialist 

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation in support of initial and continuing qualification and regulatory compliance of assigned flight training devices, as well pilot and instructor currency, pilot and instructor authorizations, qualifications, and expirations.  Designing and implementing correct training footprints for operators, and programs to comply with the 142 and/or 135 approvals.  The job involves an in-depth knowledge of the current FAA regulations as it relates to Part 142, and 135 training, testing and checking.  

BAT Support Duties & Responsibilities:

Specialist in STARS/ Gemini for the purposes of regulatory compliance throughout the system.  Create and maintain course footprints for Business Aviation regulatory agencies: Part61, Part135, Part 121, CAA, ANAC, AFAC, DGCA, GACA, CASA, and EASA.Engineer all course footprints using the course structure editor in a centralized environment and mange the copy of these courses to local environments.Assist in the generation of new programs by adding/ maintaining resources in Gemini’s Resource manager and applying it to STARS.Create/ maintain META authorizations in STARS for the purpose of instructor requirements on training events for the operations group.Regulate naming conventions of programs, unit identifiers and abbreviations, and descriptions to keep a standard across all BAT locations.Extensive STARS QA and local STARS environment systems testing.Modify Instructor Authorizations mapping as needed for changing regulatory requirements. Alter training records for sales and operations after training has started to fix variant issues.Assist in development of customized customer specific training courses/ certificates.Support the global organization / training centers with course creation (non-FAA-CAT)Organize and provide training on CAE’s complex STARS and Gemini globally needed. 

Erecords & Reliance Duties & Responsibilities:

Map applicable task to units/courses to produce an Erecord for all FAA regulated courses.Oversee a master task list across all BAT locations to ensure standardization of eRecords mapping.Troubleshoot mapping issues and make changes due to courseware updates or reservation mistakes.Manage workflows, forms, views and profiles within the reliance change management toolIdentify and raise remedy tickets to improve working ability. Audit the approved FAA training curriculums, identify discrepancy and send to fleet managers/leadAct as platform administrator for reliance support

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experienceMinimum 2-5 years of Aviation Regulatory Compliance experienced preferredWorking knowledge of Adobe Standard XIStrong knowledge of Gemini/STARSStrong written, verbal communications skillsStrong computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently with minimal guidance Ability to create and maintain customer specific task mappingCreate and maintain customer specific sim training packets with GeminiPrefer technical knowledge of DLS
