Regulatory & Compliance Supervisor
Providing regulatory leadership, guidance and hands-on support for the Inmar facilities in all applicable regulated areas where  governmental agencies may have interaction with  consumer goods and RX returns business as well as our respective clients and prospects. Direct responsibility for completing comprehensive regulatory tasks for Inmar Supply Chain facilities as well as direct support for client regulatory audits. This position is responsible for maintaining our compliance/operating environment as well as for prospective clients in order to win and maintain business relationships and the appropriate regulatory operating environment for our clients’ products and materials.  This individual must be driven and self-motivated, with the ability to manage tasks with little or no upper management involvement. Some travel is required regionally but the position is based in a warehouse office location. The position requires industry knowledge of the regulations that impact the business in areas such as DOT, FDA, EPA, OSHA, USDA, as well as the applicable state regulations.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Strategic (10%)Manage compliance with hazardous waste regulations, related SOPs/policies, PFR processFacilitate implementation of new/changed hazardous waste regulations.Support client specific requirements for waste handling, recycling and sustainability.Maintain all documentation related to hazardous waste management including all shipment documentation and required inspections.Participate as required in all regulatory inspections involving any government agency including federal, state and local regulationsAudit facility hazardous waste program, provide feedback to operations and assist in development of corrective action plan trackingPartner and collaborate with with internal stakeholders (i.e. operations, safety, client services) to support regulatory compliance functions within the facilityPartner and build relationships with local, state and federal agencies during audit/inspection support.Operational (60%)Execute and maintain all aspects of the regulatory program including the hazardous waste program and food/safety sanitation.Physically move and sort boxes/containers of hazardous waste containing consumer packaged product for destructionOperate material handling equipment such as manual pallet jack and battery-operated forklift to move pallets of boxed hazardous wastePrepare hazardous waste for ground transportation shipment to TSDF facilities including labeling and closing containersPrepare and sign paperwork for hazardous waste shipments including obtaining appropriate Department of Transportation certification for ground transportation shippingScan product into hazardous waste scanning platformAudit facility processes for regulatory complianceProject Management (10%)Assist with development and monitoring of hazardous waste projects and initiatives including but not limited to monitoring recall waste management.Influence (10%)Assist in providing regulatory training to facility associates.Support and provide direction to operations on regulatory matters.Support the Safety and Fire Safety program in the facility.Analytical (10%)Provide hazardous waste information to operations to support hazardous waste program compliance as well as client based specific requirements.Maintain Department of Transportation/DOT HazMat Ground Shipper certification

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant years of experienceCertifications - CHMP (Certified Hazardous Materials Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Management)  in place of Bachelor’s Degree acceptable6-8 Years work experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position.Travel time 25-50%
