Regulatory Management Fellow in Drug Information

Position purpose:  Belmont University is seeking 1 pharmacy fellow to complete a two year post-graduate program in collaboration with HealthTrust Performance Group (HealthTrust) and the Division of Drug Information within the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (FDA). The goal of this program is to equip the fellow with the skills required to excel in various practice settings such as academia, drug information, medical affairs, formulary management, corporate pharmacy, and regulatory agencies.

Job functions:

Responsible for participating in a practice within HealthTrust that involves utilizing knowledge obtained at the FDA DDI to develop internal training materials as well as member facing resources regarding regulatory, operational, sourcing, and clinical informationAssist in the creation of supply chain mapping, educational regulatory documents, or any clinical education document to support HealthTrust clinical initiativesAttend manufacturer site visits to evaluate manufacturing practices alongside the HealthTrust teamTeach within College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (i.e. assist in precepting APPE students and teach in didactic courses).Perform all faculty functions related to the management of the Christy Houston Foundation Drug Information Center including: responding to drug information requests, fact checking, and resource management.Participate in a teaching certificate program (if eligible).Conduct an original research project.Precept students at Belmont University, HealthTrust and the FDA. Other projects as assigned by the HealthTrust Clinical DirectorAssist with FDA DDI projectsAnswer MedWatch and DDI phone callsRespond to DDI emailsAbide by all relevant university and/or departmental procedures and policies.The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
