Job DescriptionWhat you will do:
The role holder will be primarily responsible for the report ownership of U.S. Bank Europe DACs compliance with the EU’s Central Electronic System of Payment Information (CESOP) tax reporting directive. The role holder will be responsible for managing the external reporting support advisor and coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to gather necessary data and execute against the quarterly reporting requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Understand, review and challenge the information being subject to CESOP reporting obligations.
Actioning reporting change triggers (e.g. Regulatory developments).
Monitoring and identifying internal & external (excluding Regulatory Developments) triggers of regulatory reporting change.
Performing impact assessment and implementing new or amended reporting obligations.
Overseeing quarterly preparation and reporting activities performed by the data management team, operations or external support advisors.
Signing-off on the reporting output, that it meets the design and regulatory reporting obligation.
Processing the sign-off through any regulatory required or internally mandated governance.
Performing report owner attestation confirming that the control environment is robust, report submissions are timely and accurate, and lessons learnt and mitigating actions have been shared.
Issue management and resolution, coordinating rejection and resubmission process, engaging operations or technology teams as necessary
Communicate key findings and/or insights from the reported data to the Head of Tax.
Assist in audit processes related to the reported data, providing necessary information and answering queries as required by the Risk Manager and Risk Owner.
Liaise with regulators on new or existing reports.
In addition to managing the CESOP reporting submissions for USBE, the role holder may also be expected to support audits, other regulatory reporting processes and/or other business management activities for the Regulatory Reporting team in Europe.
Day-to-day activities will vary given the current priorities of the business and as a result will require an element of flexibility according to current business needs.
Creativity, analytical precision, adaptability and comfort with ambiguity, are essential traits as your work will be used to enable leadership to make key management decisions.
Requirements
You should apply if you have the following knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the payments / financial services sector (CESOP, PSD2, PSD3, etc.)
Understanding principles of risk management framework and controls
Proficiency in Excel and PPT preferable
Experience:
5-10 years in financial services
Analysis and/or execution of operational processes, procedures and controls
Business Management experience
Ideally some risk management/governance experience (preferably some tax or regulatory reporting experience/exposure but not a pre-requirement)
Skills:
Strong written and verbal proficiency in English
Stakeholder management
Willingness to take responsibility
Ability to work independently as well as a taeam member
Ability to work under time and stress pressure
Ability to adapt to changing business environments
Ability to work within an international environment
Analytical abilities, capacity of drawing quick conclusions
High degree of accuracy at work
Italian, Polish or other European language skills is a plus
