Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining, providing and overseeing analytical processes for highly complex regulatory reporting for one or more operations product teams. Key responsibilities include managing complex projects and workstreams involving systems enhancements, process improvements, products and services. Job expectations include serving as a subject matter expert to other teammates and handling highly complex issues that require management and coordination across multiple stakeholders.

The NFRR Markets Regulatory Reporting team is responsible the centralization, process standardization, remediation of gaps and the production and submission of key prioritized Non-Financial Regulatory (NFRR) reports.  The candidate for this role will be responsible for identifying controls surrounding Consumer Data that provide a degree of confidence that the regulatory information is complete and accurate.  In addition, the candidate will work closely with multiple lines of business to establish a data remediation process for all items that cannot be completed systematically while also working with downstream data consumers to confirm the fit for use.  The candidate will initially focus on the FDIC deposit insurance calculation which covers over 90mm accounts and over $2.4 trillion in balances.  The candidate will need to be knowledgeable of the consumer domain with understanding of different products (Saving, Money Market, Trusts) and customers (Individual, Small Business (Sole Props vs LLC, vs Corp), Public Sector) to be able to validate that the insurance calculation is accurate. 

Responsibilities include:
• Perform a risk assessment and identify gaps in the following area
o Reporting Requirements by validating report output to internally documented regulatory requirements
o Historical Reporting risk associated based on industry trends and regulatory inquiries
o Controls surrounding the completeness and accuracy in the current process
o Documentation surrounding processes, escalations, and issues
o Enterprise Policy adherence
o Logging, tracking and remediation (tactical & strategic) of systemic reporting gaps
• Identification of improvement in operational efficiencies while reducing reporting risk
• Identification of reporting synergies across reporting jurisdictions and products 
• Preparation and submission of regulatory reports for various global jurisdictions
• Execution of controls for reports and administer reporting workflow
• Participate and represent the reporting function to control partners (e.g., Audit and Compliance)
• Key contact for respective regulatory agency inquiries regarding filings and submissions• Responsible for the identification, tracking, and remediation of data issues and control enhancements that impact the respective reports
• Partner with Data Stewart organization to ensure adherence to Enterprise Data Management (EDM) standards and policies 
• Partner with the NFRR Regulatory Interpretation team on all changes to regulatory requirements. Review and update business requirements in Data Dictionaries.
• Partner with technology team in providing requirements and user acceptance testing (UAT). Identify strategic sourcing of data (via Authorized Data Source (ADS)) and enhance controls.
• Assist with NFRR Report Onboarding which includes performing current state assessments, understand the effectiveness of controls, determination of process risks, and executing plans to incorporate the reporting process into the NFRR organization.
 

Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of experience; Professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CFA, CPA) preferred
• Consumer Banking, Private Banking, Global Banking and Markets (GBAM), Risk/Compliance business/operations and regulatory reporting experience
• Experience working with complex products with knowledge of the underlying data risks
• Intellectually curious with the ability to diver deeper to identify risks
• Ability to provide clear oral and written communication to a variety of business and technical audiences.
• Regulatory Reporting and analytics experience within FLU/CF, Finance or Consumer Operations
• Data management and data quality background especially EDM Use Standard
• Detail oriented and process excellence mind set
• Process migration and re-engineering experience to strategic framework
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, analytical mindset required
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet regulatory submission deadlines
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic work environment
• Technical savvy with the ability to quickly understand different systems and processes
• Eager to learn and grow, receptive to constructive feedback
• Self-starter, takes initiative
• Advance Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. SQL and Analytics tool (Tableau and Micro Strategy) is a plus
• Driver of change

Desired Skills:
• Audit experience
• Knowledge of Visio and ARIS is also a plus
• Experience with major regulatory programs, implementations and interaction via exams, periodic routines, etc.
