Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Specialist - Quincy, IL

The Regulatory & Scientific Affairs (RSA) Specialist will deliver comprehensive regulatory support for the animal feed and pet food products manufactured by ADM Animal Nutrition in North America. This position builds valuable knowledge and skills and works cross-functionally with Quality, Formulations, Commercial, R&D, and Operations to ensure regulatory compliance and exceed customer expectations.

Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit state facility license and product registrationsManage EPA-regulated products including new product approval submissions, alternate brand name submissions, manufacturing and labeling support, annual reporting, supplemental distributor oversight and support, and EPA product inspection supportDevelop and maintain strong knowledge of relevant state, federal and international regulations, including but not limited to ingredient acceptability, product classification, labeling requirements, and allowable product claimsCommunicate with and advise company leadership about applicable changes to standards and regulationsProvide regulatory guidance and input to other departments including R&D, Quality, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Sales and Marketing, and Customer Service teamsReview marketing materials for US and international markets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsPerform additional duties and special assignments in support of the RSA team as requiredTravel may occasionally be required for this positionPosition RequirementsThis position requires a self-starting, analytical, detailed and organized individual with a considerable degree of good judgment, excellent written and oral communication, strong interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and the ability to conduct activities without supervision.State product registration process expertise is requiredAAFCO process and EPA regulated product subject matter expertise highly desiredAbility to apply general rules to specific problems and produce sensible answersStrong project management and problem-solving skillsMust be able to multi-task several projects with various deadlines, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines while working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work on a global, cross-functional teamCommitment to continuous learning and personal growthAbility to focus on priorities and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervisionQualificationsBachelor’s Degree or higher in animal nutrition, feed science, animal science, chemistry, or a related field.Minimum of one (1) year of U.S. product registration experience is requiredAnimal Food Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification preferredExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
