WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Be part of our "Global Consumer Safety Team", which creates and assesses large sets of scientific data to assure the production of safe and healthy foods for consumers. Among others, we carry out Metabolism studies by applying pesticides on crops and livestock to identify degradation products (metabolites), perform residue studies to derive maximum pesticide residue levels (MRLs), develop analytical methods to enable the quantification of pesticides residues, make acute and chronic risk assessments for pesticides residues that consumers may intake by consuming food treated with pesticides.

As Regulatory Scientist, you are responsible for developing, planning and conducting analytical residue studies internally and together with CROs according to OECD guidelines, GLP rules, GHS and financial requirements.This includes sample preparation for trace-level analysis of organic compounds, including extraction and clean-up.In addition, you are accountable for the scientific development of the residue analytic area including the constant development, implementation and communication of new strategies, methods, techniques and approaches.In your new role, you take personal responsibility for the development of the laboratory and its personnel within 1-2 years, while ensuring safety and compliance with legal regulations.Furthermore, you guarantee the efficient use of external suppliers, develop and implement new ideas, concepts and approaches.WHAT YOU OFFER PhD or master’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience in natural or technical scienceknowledge of analytical techniques and equipment (e.g., HPLC, LC-MS) as well as processes in R&D laboratoriesexpertise in plant protection products and the agricultural products industry is highly desiredexcellent language skills in English and ideally in Germandemonstrated ability to work efficiently & effectively to successfully reach research goals as an independent scientist as well as a team player of a diverse, multi-disciplinary teamproven excellent oral (including presentation) and written communication skills, including timely and effective correspondence with colleaguesWHAT WE OFFER attractive remuneration and a guaranteed annual one-off paymentcompany-financed supplementary long-term care insurancefitness and health studio, medical center with numerous offers for your healthinspiring networks for the development and implementation of own ideasDeutschlandticket as a discounted job ticket, availability of e-charging stations for private vehiclesHOW TO REACH US Lea Sophie Guenther (Talent Acquisition), lea-sophie.guenther@basf.com, Tel.:+49 30 2005-56150 will be happy to answer your questions for this position.You can also reach our recruiting team here.First information about our application process can be found here.ABOUT US
