We’re looking for an entry-level Regulatory Specialist to be responsible for daily tasks within the Regulatory Affairs department, coordinating report filings to federal, state, provincial and local agencies, as well as data submissions to customers and agencies. Additionally, this position works with Regulatory Affairs management to ensure corporate compliance of federal, state, provincial and local regulations governing the storage and sale of products.
Our corporate headquarters is in Chicago, IL. This role operates from a home office on a fully remote model. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.
**Responsibilities:**
Responsible for daily operations including, but not limited to, regulatory support for customers and internal personnel; SDS generation; and management of shared department inbox.
SALES AND CORPORATE SUPPORT
+ Responds to inquiries from vendors, sales representatives, and customers regarding regulatory issues.
+ Researches regulatory matters as requested by sales-channel personnel, customers, internal personnel, and the Regulatory Affairs management.
+ Collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, Sales Education and Marketing to develop compliance-related, value-added services for Lawson Customers.
+ Assists internal personnel with projects that require regulatory support.
+ Coordinates submission of chemical information as requested.
PRODUCT COMPLIANCE
+ Maintains regulatory data in product information management database and regulatory reporting tools.
+ Generates Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and maintains product data in SDS authoring program; distributes SDSs to appropriate internal personnel and outside agencies.
+ Coordinates the registered product-labeling review schedule and updates EPA registered labeling as requested by the basic registrant or state agency.
STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCY REPORTING
+ Coordinates regulatory agency and third-party reporting obligations including but not limited to product registrations, licensing applications, and chemical sales reports.
+ Works on special projects and assists with other duties as assigned by management.
**Qualifications & Requirements:**
+ Associate's degree or at least 2 years of regulatory affairs experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables; knowledge of MS Excel macros is a plus.
+ Must possess strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
+ Ability to work methodically and deliver accurate results
+ Basic knowledge of data management and database principles
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
+ Ability to prioritize projects and work independently
Our salary range for this role is $52,300 - $62,780 including a full benefits package.
