The **Regulatory Specialist** will assist with compliance activities associated with the management, participation, and/or audit of various of programs at military installations to include but not be limited to: stormwater, wastewater, water, above-ground storage tank/underground storage tank (AST/UST), air (Title V), solid wastes, hazardous wastes, lead-based paint management, asbestos management, pollution prevention management, cultural resources, natural resources, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), environmental assessments, environmental baseline surveys, information management, and land use management support.
**Responsibilities**
+ National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit applications and monitoring.
+ Storm Water management, including Storm Water Pollution Prevention.
+ Solid waste management plans.
+ Environmental Compliance Assessment System (ECAS) or Environmental Performance Audit System (EPAS) audits.
+ Environmental Management System (EMS) support.
+ Environmental Condition of Property (ECOP) assessments.
+ Preliminary assessment/site inspection (PA/SI).
+ Environmental compliance training.
+ Environmental compliance monitoring and reporting.
+ Training and documentation required by Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
+ Environmental conference participation and presentations
+ Strictly adhere to federal, state, and local waste regulations.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in environmental, engineering, or other technical related field Preferred
+ Minimum of ten (10) years general work experience in environmental, pollution prevention, and/or hazardous material management consulting.
+ Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience with hazardous waste and hazardous material management programs for any branch of the United States Military.
+ Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience with environmental Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste policies and procedures
+ Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with logistics programs, including hazardous material.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Proficient with the Microsoft Suite.
+ Writing, communication, and computer skills.
+ Knowledge of hazardous materials storage requirements
+ Knowledge of hazardous waste and waste storage requirements
+ Knowledge and understanding of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance.
+ Knowledge and understanding of Clean Air Act (CAA) compliance.
+ Knowledge and understanding of Clean Water Act (CWA) compliance.
+ Knowledge and understanding of Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) / Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA).
+ Ability to establish procedures and schedule assignments.
+ Ability to obtain Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance within 60 days of hire.
+ Ability to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance training for Hazardous Waste within 60 days of hire
+ Ability to obtain 40 HAZWOPER Compliance Training within 60 days of hire

**Estimated Salary/Wage**
Up to USD $36.06/Hr.
