Position Title: Regulatory Specialist (4N)

Role

Maintain Regulatory compliance for area Crown Castle Sites with regards to governmental and Crown Castle policy. Provide guidance and training to stakeholders regarding regulatory compliance as needed. Review, identify, and complete due diligence required for changes to existing tower configuration (collocations) and new tower construction, and all small cell deployment. Review permits and documents to track compliance with regulations and company policy.

Responsibilities 

Review and, when necessary, order applicable regulatory filings and other regulatory documentation for proposed collocations and new tower construction and small cell deployment. Develop proficiency in interpreting, communicating and implementing FAA, FCC and NEPA guidelines: review documents for compliance with guidelines. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory personnel representing those carriers and clients with whom Crown has business dealings. Research regulatory compliance inquiries as required, including review and analysis of acquisition due diligence and in response to alleged violations. Develop and maintain relationships with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel, and other local, state and federal offices as required to assure prompt processing of Crown applications. Ensure the legal department’s regulatory standards and procedures are properly implemented and regulatory compliance is maintained. Oversee the collection and maintenance of regulatory compliance data to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date. Scan Regulatory documents and record as necessary in databases. Research, analyze and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers for site regulatory information. Research and report regulatory compliance issues. Collaborate with other departments regarding regulatory compliance.

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience/Minimum Requirements

Two (2) or more years of regulatory experience or equivalent experience in regulatory compliance

Expectations 

Knowledge of wireless communication industry and government administrative procedures and requirements. Excellent PC skills Excellent communication skills – written and oral Organizational skills Interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and interpersonal skills Experience in preparation or review of FAA Forms (7460) and lighting regulations, Forms 854, and state departments of transportation (if applicable in jurisdiction of region), including support documents such as site surveys and U.S.G.S. quad maps Knowledge and experience with NEPA and Phase I/II regulations and requirements

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
