Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Regulatory Specialist role supports ongoing efforts to aid the Company in evaluating and analyzing business and strategic issues that are impacted by the state and federal regulatory and legislative environment. The role also supports other strategic initiatives including, but not limited to, the development of quantitative and qualitative analyses, providing expertise and resources to other colleagues in order to help resolve regulatory issues, and consulting with other functional areas within the Company to ensure actions are consistent with strategies and in compliance with current regulation. Primary Duties PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Support regulatory issue management and case development, including supporting the following activities: Project management of regulatory cases and projects Providing guidance and recommendations to other areas of the Company regarding regulatory processes, policies, and the strategies to be implemented in proceedings and business activities Work with other departments and outside parties in developing filings and seek to resolve any issues raised by outside parties. o Review filings and proposals with Staff and other parties, as needed. Review, evaluate, and prepare expert written and verbal testimony. Analyze, prepare, and review responses to data requests to ensure consistency in theme and content. o Monitor outstanding dockets and litigation for progress. Serve as regulatory strategies and solutions process expert for data request responses. Serve as the lead for the design and execution of departmental and external reporting processes. Serve as the regulatory strategies and solutions Records Management representative. Assist with leading the design and execution of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures including, but not limited to, processes and templates for project management and regulatory proceedings, as well as the development of various "introduction to regulatory" training materials for internal stakeholders. Assist with regulatory research and strategic analysis. Assist with maintaining knowledge base on state, national and industry regulatory and legislative policies and issues. Assist with special regulatory department projects and department initiatives. Job Scope JOB SCOPE Must have a good understanding of the fundamental functions performed by Regulatory. Demonstrate innovative thinking in the approach to work, develop new processes to increase productivity, reduce redundancy, and assist in achieving broader regulatory goals. Utilize current network and broaden network to build cohesive relationships ensuring regulatory compliance. Assist Regulatory Department with special projects. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 4-year relevant degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree, High School diploma and 3-6 years relevant experience. Customer driven with excellent oral and written communications skills and basic analytical, problem solving and project management skills. General knowledge of regulations and policies. Ability to analyze data and general problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action. Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain computerized and non-computerized tracking and filing Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to handle and follow through on multiple tasks and prioritize work appropriately. Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree; paralegal certificate. Demonstrated proficiency in PC software package such as Microsoft Office suite. Paralegal experience preferred Manager Preferred Qualifications Strong project and case management skills Benefits Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors:USD $68,000.00/Yr. - USD $102,000.00/Yr.
