Description
Contact patients to determine chaperone preference. In addition, the individual may perform selected patient treatments under the direct supervision of a PT/OT, departmental and equipment maintenance, clerical duties, and other activities as directed. Clerical duties may include: filing, faxing, photocopying/scanning, form and paperwork management, etc. More than 6 months of relevant Rehab Aide experience qualifies for Rehab Aide 2 title.
Salary
Range: 21.07-28.84 hourly
Qualifications
+ Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
+ Skill in making appropriate and effective decisions based on the needs of the patients, priorities of the department, and the department and medical center's policies and procedures.
+ Ability to work as a member of the team, including sharing knowledge, giving and receiving feedback, taking initiative to assist others, problem solving and providing an atmosphere conducive to learning.
+ Ability to communicate effectively (in written and verbal form) with patients, caregivers, peers, other health care professionals, and managers.
+ Ability to recognize the need for and request assistance when appropriate.
+ Knowledge of precautions and potential problems related to assigned patient care activities.
+ Ability to identify the need for and utilize appropriate safety and/or emergency techniques, CPR, water safety, protection of patient lines and drains and infection control.
+ BLS from AHA or ARC
