**Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (7:00:00 AM - 4:30:00 PM)

**Pay Range:** $38.02 - $61.88 per hour
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. **Summary:**
Responsible for all aspects of Rehabilitation Services staff education and accreditation preparation and compliance. Promotes quality patient care through development and identification of staff education opportunities and needs. Serves as a role model of incorporating best practice and evidence based practice with patient care. Acts as a leader in rehabilitation department activities including staff training and advocacy in and outside of Rush. This person is an active participant in the interdisciplinary team. This position meets the requirements of all internal and external regulatory bodies and exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values
**Other information:**
**Required Job Qualifications:**
1. Initial certification by national board as an OTR, PT or SLP
2. Meets all state regulatory requirements
3. Graduate of an accredited OT, PT or SLP Program
4. Basic computer skills
5. Master’s degree in occupational therapy required,
**Preferred Job Qualifications:**
1. At least 5 years of experience preferred as an occupational therapist, physical therapist or speech language pathologist.
2. Doctorate degree in occupational therapy, education or related field
**Responsibilities:**
1. Leads process improvement teams targeting rehabilitation services practice and innovation using evidence based practice and research findings.
2. Develops effective strategies for changing clinician and team behavior to encourage adoption of evidence based practices.
3. Collaborates with supervisors, managers and director in the design, implementation and evaluation of process improvement initiatives, educational and accreditation opportunities.
4. Uses leadership, team building, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to build partnerships within and across occupational therapy sections including academia.
5. Critically reviews cases in collaboration with clinical leadership to determine educational opportunities.
6. Collaborates with Manager and Supervisor to promote a culture of safety, accountability and survey readiness.
7. Strategically plans for ongoing education to acquire new knowledge and skills.
8. Collaborates with director, managers and supervisors to provide ongoing performance feedback to achieve positive clinical outcomes and accrediting body compliance.
9. Contributes to the development of policies, procedure, protocols, and patient and staff educational materials.
10. Participates in providing excellent clinical care with evaluations, treatments and plans of care.
11. Maintains departmental productivity standards.
12. Demonstrates ability to safely lift and/or move therapy equipment.
13. Demonstrates ability to maintain patient safety.
14. Demonstrates the ICARE values with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members
15. Adheres to policies and procedures.
16. Maintains accurate and timely patient records.
