We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Aide to join our acute care hospital team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our rehabilitation therapists and assisting patients during their recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessionsAssist therapists in transporting and positioning patients for treatmentsClean and maintain treatment areas and equipment before and after usePerform routine, non-clinical patient care tasks under therapist supervisionMaintain inventory of supplies and ensure stock areas are clean and organizedGreet patients and answer basic questions about treatmentsCollaborate with nursing staff to transport patients to and from therapy gymsAssist in resettling patients back into their rooms after therapy sessionsParticipate in weekend rotation (one weekend every four weeks)Maintain equipment cleaning schedulesSupport Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) during Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) proceduresProvide an extra set of hands for Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Physical Therapists (PTs) during therapy sessionsOther duties as assignedSchedule
This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, with a Saturday rotation. May be asked to work earlier/later if needed.
