Responsibilities

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Nurse (Days), sometimes referred to as an Inpatient Rehab Nurse at Southern Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Riverdale, GA. An Inpatient Rehab RN in our hospital will specialize in caring for patients recovering from acute or chronic illnesses, injuries, or surgeries that require rehabilitation services. These nurses help patients regain independence, improve their physical and functional abilities, and adapt to new health circumstances.

 

Bonus Options: up to $20,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

provide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, amputations, chronic diseases or other conditions monitor patients’ medical status, vital signs, responses to rehabilitation therapies; along with administration of medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as neededassist patients with exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and eating, in coordination with physical therapists and occupational therapiststeach patients to use assistive devices, such as walkers, prosthetics, or wheelchairseducate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care strategiesparticipate in discharge planning, ensuring that patients are prepared for a safe transition to home or another care setting Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Current and valid state RN LicenseCurrent BLS certificate upon hire and maintain currentCurrent ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferredPrevious Acute Care hospital experience preferredVentilator Management experience preferredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
