As a Rehab Technician, under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist you will assists in the care and treatment of patients and in the organizational and clerical duties of the department. Responsible for the supply, distribution, and use of special and orthopedic equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greats all patients, family members, and fellow staff courteously and professionally.
• Assists in the implementation of rehab treatment programs as planned and directed by the Physical/Occupational Therapist.
• Prepares, cleans, organizes, and otherwise maintains all rehab equipment, modalities, and plinths/mats to ensure adequate supply, cleanliness and appropriate use for patient care while tracking accurate and current inventory as needed.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and secure work area to protect patient privacy.
• Distributes laundry supplies for the rehab clinic to ensure adequate requisition and supply.
• Escorts patients in/out of treatment area and assists patients with ambulation, transfers and positioning as directed and under the supervision of the Physical/Occupational Therapist.
• Follows departmental guidelines in modality set-up under the supervision of the Physical or Occupational Therapist.
• Completes basic clerical duties on a regular basis, including typing, scheduling, recording statistics, filing, copying/scanning, or chart reviews as appropriate deemed necessary under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
Preferred:
• Previous experience in the healthcare field.
• Bilingual Speaking English/Spanish with interpreter certificate and/or ability to pass language screening for Medical Interpreter Certificate course.
