Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** We are in search for a part-time rehabilitation therapist for the Ashrafioun lab. We are currently working on a project aimed at improving social connection among individuals with opioid use disorder. Other subpopulations of interest include people at risk for suicide, other substance use disorders, and chronic pain. We're interested in increasing social connection and enhancing treatment engagement. Primary duties will include providing one-on-one telehealth therapy aimed at utilizing participant strengths and addressing weaknesses in social functioning and planning and implementing strategies to address social functioning. Additional duties include completing documentation related to the therapy sessions, and being an active participant in group supervision and other meeting as needed to provide feedback to team regarding participant progress. Essential Duties: Provide therapy to research subjects - Deliver a manualized psychotherapy and/or health education to research subjects experiencing social disconnected and who have opioid use disorders to enhance social functioning - Conduct safety risk assessments as needed Documentation and manual refinement - Document adherence to manual and competence in delivering the material - Assist in making refinements to the treatment manual Research/writing activities - Assist with manuscript writing - Assist with grant writing Supervision - Attend weekly group supervision - Provide case presentations on sessions completed in the previous week - Provide feedback to other study therapists - Provide feedback on the delivery of the intervention Communication - Communicate with research staff to coordinate scheduling - Communicate needs to PI Minimum requirements: - Bachelor's degree with major course work in a related health/occupational field required - Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or other clinical degrees are preferred. - 2-3 year of relevant experience working with behavioral health issues required. - Experience working with mental health required - Previous experience working with patients with substance use disorders delivering evidence-based psychosocial treatments; experience providing supervision to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows preferred - Licensed psychologist or social worker preferred **EOE Minorities / Females / Protected Veterans / Disabled:** The University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion to advance the University’s mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create – and Make the World Ever Better.
