Eligible to Apply: + Former HFD Classified Members - Certified Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technicians MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. Must have obtained the rank of Firefighter as a HFD Classified member 2. An Active/Current Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Certification AND 3. An Active/Current Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) Certification DUTIES: + Re-acclimation training (5 Weeks) - participates in lectures, seminars, and practical training sessions. + Receives and participates in various types of training in fire suppression and emergency medical services. + Participates in drills, demonstrations and instruction in hydraulics, pump operation, maintenance, fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services.
