Reinsurance accountant (f/m)

The Reinsurance Accountant is responsible for carrying out the reinsurance accounting inward and outward by the application of the treaties and participates in the production and analysis of the technical results of the insurance activity.

 

What you do

 

Business Accountabilities:

Ensure the accounting application of treaties, accounting, and control of reinsurance operations. Produce the reinsurance technical inventory, participate in the establishment of the accounts by product and establish the technical note during each quarterly accounting closing. Realize the justification of third-party accounts and reinsurance technical accounts. Participate in the preparation of regulatory statements in French standard and Solvency 2 as well as specific reinsurance reports. Set up, feed the technical management tool, and participate in its development. Contribute to the development of process and lead the implementation of systems and process improvements in claims handling. Monitor risky brokers and develop a payment schedule. Provide technical guidance and recommendations as a subject matter expert to support the resolution of the most complex customer cases and develop precedents to improve customer service. Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships across the organization to ensure colleagues are informed on relevant issues. Establish and transmit the accounts to the reinsurers and be their privileged interlocutor. Be the main interlocutor of the Statutory Auditors in terms of reinsurance scheme.
