Reinsurance Analyst
Salary: circa £35,000 - £55,000
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the BPA team in either York or London as a Reinsurance Analyst, which is part of Aviva’s market leading Annuity and Equity Release business within UK Life. Joining a dynamic and motivated team, you will have a real opportunity to make a difference and help deliver compelling, commercial results for Aviva.
You will be involved in reinsurance tenders, analysing terms and working closely with the Reinsurance Operations team to implement treaty arrangements.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, with the drive to challenge and influence what we do and ensure we meet our goals.
A bit about the job:
You will be:
Supporting the reinsurance tender process and undertaking analysis of reinsurance terms
Assessing competitive positioning as well as assisting with reinsurer relationship management
Working with the BPA Pricing and Deal Management teams to optimise commercials
Liaising with the BPA Operations teams to ensure effective treaty management
Supporting work to ensure compliance with the Reinsurance Framework
Skills & Experience
Strong mathematical background, or Actuarial students making excellent progress through their exams or equivalent actuarial/technical experience
Applications from technically focussed individuals, who are no longer sitting actuarial exams, will also be considered
Previous experience of the BPA market, defined benefit pensions, or longevity pricing would be an advantage
Ability to communicate clearly and develop effective professional relationships
Ability to pick up new concepts quickly, apply judgement and identify opportunities for process improvements

Salary circa £35,000 - £55,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
