Relational Program Lead

Job Description:

The Relational Program Lead will lead the successful execution of Mars Petcare’s CRM and Consumer Care strategy, orchestrating operations ensuring seamless integration across Global and Divisional initiatives. This role is pivotal in advancing pet parent engagement, accelerating value creation across divisions, and securing the execution of Mars Petcare’s broader relational strategy, including the ecosystem play.

On top of orchestrating CRM and Consumer Care Operations, the Relational Program Lead will also look after cross-functional collaboration among key Associates & Partners, including Business teams (Global and Divisional), the CDO team (Product, D&A, etc.), liaising with CBExO team (both Media, Marketing and Insights teams), and the PMO team. The role ensures that capabilities are future-proof and aligned with divisional needs while guiding them toward the target relational program , the expected Value creation and elevating Relational Program/CRM maturity within Mars Petcare.

This position is central to enabling Global Strategy, fostering Cross-Divisional Business Enablement, and driving Divisional Growth Acceleration, while ensuring alignment with Mars Petcare’s transformation objectives and integration with the wider Mars Petcare GDP program, including CBExO, Digital, and PMO teams.

What are we looking for?Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.5-7+ years of experience in program management, with a strong track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.Program Management Expertise: Advanced skills in leading and orchestrating large-scale programs with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders.Business and Functional Mindset: Strong knowledge of marketing, both strategic and operational, and consumer care experiences, ensuring alignment with relational program objectives.Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of product management, data platforms, and analytics tools, with the ability to bridge technical capabilities and business needs.Innovative Thinking: Creative mindset to propose and implement forward-thinking solutions that enhance the CRM and consumer care ecosystem.Soft Skills:Robust organizational and prioritization abilities, with the capability to structure complex workflows.Strong alignment and consensus-building skills to unite cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Ability to prioritize effectively and guide efforts toward a cohesive program vision.Familiarity with relational program strategies and cross-divisional business enablement is a plus.Experience in Petcare or FMCG industries is highly desirable

What will be your key responsibilities?

1. Program Orchestration and Governance

Lead the orchestration of the CRM and Consumer Care Operations program, ensuring seamless alignment across pet parent-focused workstreams and initiatives.Define and manage the governance structure, including meeting cadences, escalation pathways, and key stakeholder engagement, to drive Global Strategy Enablement, Cross-Divisional Business Enablement, and Divisional Acceleration.Monitor program health by tracking progress, updating roadmaps, identifying blockers, and maintaining strategic program steering to secure the execution of the relational program/ecosystem strategy.

2. Value Creation and Critical Milestones Delivery

Develop and oversee program roadmaps and action plans, with clear milestones, deliverables, and resource allocations that accelerate cross-divisional value creation.Ensure timely execution of key deliverables, including executive presentations, strategic narratives, and stakeholder updates.Provide strategic oversight on interdependencies between workstreams to anticipate risks and mitigate them effectively, ensuring capabilities are future-proof and aligned with Petcare priorities.

3. Cross-Team Collaboration and Integration

Work closely with Business teams (Global and Divisional GDP Champions) to frame the strategic vision and objectives, while collaborating with the CDO team (Product, D&A, etc.) to define how to get there, and ensure capabilities are designed for long-term success.Partner with the PMO team to prioritize initiatives, manage demand, and assess program impacts across the organization.Collaborate with Media and Marketing teams to evolve and secure the operating model for relational strategies, ensuring alignment with global marketing objectives.

4. Division-Centric Enablement

Address divisional needs by collecting their requirements and ensuring Mars Petcare prepares capabilities to accelerate and prioritize their strategic priorities.

Provide downward guidance to divisions, aligning them with the target relational program, elevating their CRM maturity, and supporting them with team resources for performance monitoring, external benchmarks, and training needs.Build trust and alignment with divisional leadership, empowering teams to align their efforts with broader Petcare goals.

5. Communication and Executive Support

Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, including project summaries, decision-making memos, and escalation notes that highlight progress, risks, and opportunities.Act as a trusted advisor to global and divisional leadership, providing transparency and enabling informed decision-making on program priorities and execution strategies.Ensure all communications reflect the Petcare mission of supporting pet parents and their needs.

6. Knowledge Transfer, Training, and Capability Building

Oversee end-to-end knowledge transfer to ensure all stakeholders fully understand and operationalize program objectives.Identify and address training needs across divisions, elevating relational and CRM expertise through targeted learning programs and shared best practices.

7. Demand Management and Prioritization

Manage and prioritize demand in collaboration with Business teams (Global/Divisional), CDO, PMO, and Leadership teams to ensure resources and focus are directed toward high-impact initiatives.
