Relationship Manager, National Practice Group

      

The National Practice Group is a platform that serves a select group of Thrivent’s high performing and growth-oriented advisory practices. The Relationship Manager serves National Practice Group (NPG) practices and advisors as the primary point of contact to support an actionable growth plan based on the strategy set in partnership with the practice’s National Practice Director (NPD). This role looks for opportunities to help practices grow and takes ownership and accountability to seeing inquiries through to resolution, informing and involving the practice’s NPD as appropriate. This role further acts as a concierge to connect NPG practices with the distinctive services and support offerings that NPG and the Enterprise provide. The Relationship Manager needs to cultivate a trusted partnership with their assigned NPG practices and NPDs.

This can be a remote position within the US.

         

          

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as the single point of contact for assigned NPG practices for support in executing on the strategic, growth plan developed in partnership with the practice’s NPD, directing practices to NPG and enterprise support resources, and escalating issues as appropriate.Provides strategic, forward-looking advice to Thrivent’s top sophisticated practices.Actively gathers and analyzes information necessary to help the National Practice Director develop, prioritize, and refine a plan that enables the growth of the NPG practices.Develops strong working relationships throughout the Centers of Excellence (COEs), dedicated NPG servicers and entire enterprise to efficiently navigate and leverage subject matter expertise and support to advance NPG practices’ growth, and to help inform on reoccurring issues and resource prioritization.Service oriented, responsive and accountable to inquiries from assigned NPG practices; able to analyze the needs of the practices to connect them to appropriate support resources within NPG and the enterprise.Monitors performance against strategic growth plan and works with the National Practice Director to adjust the plan as well as communicate to the practices whether they are on or off track.Manages interactions with NPG practices in partnership with the NPD (business planning, monthly consulting, and trimester business reviews).Facilitates connections with regional leadership teams related to practice results, JFW, practice sharing opportunities and TAG engagement.Ensures the practices stay apprised of platform and enterprise offerings and changes.Provides onboarding support to the process and experience of bringing new practices onto the NPG platform.Ensures the NPG team is executing with excellence the NPG service model.Works with various personality styles and must also understand the FA’s perspective while at the same time representing Thrivent overall.Success in this role is based on practice growth metrics (Total Sales, Capacity, Advice), practice satisfaction/retention and enterprise collaboration. 

Required Job Qualifications

College degree or equivalent in work experience.10+ years of diverse experience in the financial services industry. Broad depth of understanding of financial services industry products, including annuities, settlement options, life, health, mutual funds, and brokerage current and past.  Includes keeping abreast of company and industry changes.Deep understanding of what financial professionals and teams need to be successful. Depth and diversity of experience supporting teams grow through practice management and advanced teaming models.Solid understanding of distribution field structure, hierarchy, roles, responsibilities.Strong performance history with a track record of success in multiple roles.Very high level of empathy and energy with a passion for providing excellent client service and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.Enjoys and is proficient at preparing and analyzing information, building reports, and presenting insights and opportunities to colleagues and clients.Demonstrates proficiency in Word and ExcelExperience with presenting and/or training a large group of individuals.Has demonstrated the ability to quickly identify issues and use advanced problem-solving skills.Ability to see the big picture, look upstream and downstream to anticipate development needs and identify new growth opportunities for NPG practices.Demonstrated accountability for their own results, as well as results in influencing without authority.Ability to flex hours based on the demands of the job, assigned time zone, and seasonality.Occasional travel to Group field offices, branch offices, or other NPG events (10-15%)

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $104,512.00 - $141,398.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
