The hiring range for this opportunity is $140,000 to $190,000 annually along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience
POSITION SUMMARY
The Relationship Manager I, II and III develops and manages relationships with commercial clients in assigned business segments and/or geographic areas. Presents a variety of product solutions to meet client needs. Provides responsive, quality service. Approves transactions within delegated authority. Manages overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk.
The Senior Relationship Manager develops and manages relationships with commercial clients in assigned business segments and/or geographic areas (60%). Additionally, the SRM assists in leading a regional team of Relationship Managers and CLSO’s (40%). Presents a variety of product solutions to meet client needs. Provides responsive, quality service. Manages overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES of our Relationship Manager II
Prepares a relationship plan and calling schedule for each client or prospective client in conjunction with strategic business development program. Identifies business opportunities by learning prospect’s business, company or industry and their needs. Calls on existing or prospective clients. Discusses and promotes all Bank products and services to establish total client Bank relationships and makes appropriate referrals. Brings in product specialists, as necessary, to help problem solve or structure a transaction. Negotiates transactions, prices products within targeted rate of return, documents and closes transactions. Exercises sound credit and risk judgment in approving transactions. Recommends approval when transaction size exceeds authority limits. Ensures quality of all Bank business. Interfaces with other Bank units, as necessary. Defines responsibilities and coordinates objectives for all product areas in a relationship or transaction. Resolves all client needs and any internal issues. Monitors and analyzes relationship plan results and account activities. Determines client profitability. Makes recommendations regarding accounts to be further developed or eliminated. Prepares various reports for management. Monitors portfolio for quality, risk, and adherence to policy. Works with appropriate staff to resolve issues. Maintains an awareness of competitive products, practices, rates, and changes in market areas. Analyzes problem credits and meets with clients to develop solutions to minimize lost exposure.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES of our Senior Relationship Manager
Leads team in facilitating growth initiatives for operating businesses, loan, deposit, and non-interest income by involving senior business line leaders throughout the Bank. Regularly in market coaching, developing, observing, and generating business acquisition and expansion results. Works with sales team to recognize gaps in effectiveness and participation and uses this information to recommend and develop specific programs to improve the necessary skills, tools, and resources. As an individual producer, prepares a relationship plan and calling schedule for each client or prospective client in conjunction with strategic business development program. Identifies business opportunities by learning prospect’s business, company or industry and their needs. Responsible for sourcing, structuring, analyzing, and negotiating C&I, construction, and commercial real estate deals. Monitors and analyzes relationship manager portfolio. Makes recommendations regarding expanding existing portfolio accounts to be further developed. Prepares various reports for management. Contacts existing or prospective clients. Discusses and promotes all Bank products and services to establish total client Bank relationships and makes appropriate referrals. Brings in product specialists, as necessary, to help problem solve or structure a transaction. Influence and leading the regional team – 40%, new business development and portfolio management with assigned clients – 60%. Negotiates transactions, prices products within targeted rate of return, documents and closes transactions. Exercises sound credit and risk judgment in approving transactions. Recommends approval when transaction size exceeds authority limits. Ensures quality of all Bank business. Interfaces with other Bank units as necessary. Defines responsibilities and coordinates objectives for all product areas in a relationship or transaction. Resolves all client needs and any internal issues. Serves as a product specialist and a technical consultant to clients in various business segments and geographic locations. Develops and conducts client and employee training sessions and informal updates. Provides individual personal banking services to clients. Participates in civic and community affairs as appropriate.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED of our Relationship Manager II
High school diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred. RM I – less than 5 years’ experience, RM II – 5 to 10 years’ experience, RM III – 10+ years of industry experience Exceptional knowledge of commercial credit policies and procedures. Advanced credit analysis and accounting skills. Proven track record of success in a sales environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows driven programs.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED of our Senior Relationship Manager
High school diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred. 10+ years of increasingly responsible positions in commercial lending. Advanced credit analysis, ability to properly structure and price existing and new loans. Proven track record of success in driving growth in a commercial banking environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional knowledge of commercial credit guidelines and procedures.
