About the team:

FIS is looking to add an energetic, talented, and experienced Release Manager to our growing team. The role of the Release Manager is to do planning, coordination of all aspects of a release from initiation through delivery.

What you will be doing:

Involved in the planning and coordination of all aspects of a release from initiation through to delivery.

Manages release activities including identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts and access to existing information as needed.

Develops, defines and executes release plans, release scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.

Interacts with product development, sales, client relationship teams, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams.

Coordinates activities and tasks among team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet release goals and ensure release completion is on schedule, within budget constraints and of the appropriate quality standards for the release scope.

Assigns and monitors work of release team providing technical and analytical support and direction. Interfaces with external clients or field-based employees on release matters as needed.

Manages risks, issues, problems and activity progress to ensure delivery goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.

What you bring:

Overall experience of 6-10 years

6+ years of Release Manager Experience

Knowledge of project management and release management methodologies

Payments industry knowledge is essential/critical

Knowledge of principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies

Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally as well as externally
