You Are:
UST is looking for a Release Manager responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive release management strategy for the company's reinsurance software portfolio. This role focuses on enhancing existing release infrastructure and processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in project and release management, and collaborating with various teams to meet project deadlines and objectives.
The opportunity:
· Ownership of TAI's release framework and strategy.
· Integrate the release processes into the overall software methodology.
· Apply a risk management approach to determine a comprehensive test and release strategy for assigned projects.
· Set and track progress of development and testing schedules within aggressive project environments.
· Summarize progress to milestones and propose mitigation strategies for areas of risk.
· Interface with developers, quality assurance analysts, and business analysts to identify efficiency gains.
· Analyze, track, and report on application issues and maintain documentation on project issues.
· Collaborate with internal and external teams on release schedules and go-to-market schedules.
· Assist, mentor, and guide team members.
· Delegate work to team members and monitor their performance.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
· 7+ years of overall software quality assurance and product development experience.
· Experience or exposure to Agile/SCRUM is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams.
· 2+ years of experience on testing via RDBMS.
· Experience mentoring and training junior professionals.
· Excellent troubleshooting ability.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
· Skills and Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, CMMI, or related.
· Nice-to-haves:
o Experience in the Insurance and/or Reinsurance industry.
o LOMA certifications.
Benefits
