Release Train Engineer

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable **Release Train Engineer (RTE)** that will oversee and facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) activities across multiple Value Streams and ARTs. The RTE will coordinate and align teams, ensure continuous improvement, and help deliver value on-time and within scope. This position is located on customer site in **Washington D.C.**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train.
+ Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning readiness by fostering the preparation of vision and backlogs, and through pre- and post-PI Planning meetings.
+ Collaborate with Stakeholders, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and team leads to ensure alignment, resolve bottlenecks, and facilitate dependencies between teams.
+ Identify, communicate, and remove obstacles that hinder ART progress, escalating issues when necessary.
+ Conduct retrospectives, gather feedback, and implement changes to improve team effectiveness and quality.
+ Track and report on program progress, key performance indicators, and delivery timelines to stakeholders.
+ Interact with stakeholders to resolve impediments and plan the strategic roadmap.
+ Work with business leaders and product owners to ensure ART objectives align with broader organizational goals.
+ Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary.
+ Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets. Helps manage risks and dependencies. Escalates and track impediments.
+ Improve the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps. Facilitates system demos and solution demos.
+ Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assesses the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and helps them improve.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
+ Ten or more (10+) years of IT experience with five or more (5+) years as a Release Train Engineer in a large program with multiple ARTs using SAFe, Srum, and Kanban methods.
+ Possess a SAFe Release Train Engineer certification.
+ Ability to address complex challenges, remove impediments, and support high-quality delivery.
+ Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA) and using Agile KPIs and metrics.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
**Security Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must have a Current/Active Top Secret Security Clearance prior to start.
