We are seeking a professional like you to drive reliability and Asset Effectiveness (AE) performance using the best-in-class tools, methodologies and techniques. This position provides technical support to production and maintenance personnel and leads or participates in Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and monitors AE and SAP PM KPI data for early identification and resolution of reliability issues. In this role, you will lead and participate in the implementation and sustenance of various reliability and AE initiatives. **As a Reliability & Asset Effectiveness Engineer - Bishop, TX, you create chemistry by...** + Maintaining, validating and analyzing plant Asset Effectiveness (AE) data and proposing improvements. + Leading Asset Effectiveness (AE) improvements through "Bad Actor" management, continuous improvement, and RCFA. + Leading reliability and AE review meetings, documents and assigning action items from these meetings and following up with the implementation and subsequent closures. + Applying appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimizing costs, and improving AE (i.e., Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, etc.) + Participating in the development of site’s Critical Equipment list. + Ensuring that fixed equipment repairs are done by following established guidelines in both the construction and post-construction codes (ASME B31, ASME Section VIII, API 510, API 570 etc.) + Assisting the Maintenance Engineer in the troubleshooting and problem resolution for rotating equipment. + Supporting capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of capital projects in accordance with plant design requirements as well as regulatory and BASF standards. **If you...** + Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field and at least 5 years of overall experience. + Have knowledge of Maintenance, Operations and Engineering activities in a chemical or manufacturing environment. + Have knowledge of API; ASME and ISO industry standards for fixed and rotating equipment. + Have knowledge of Equipment fabrication; inspection; repair codes and standards applicable to the chemical industry. + Are able to work in a team environment and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments at the facilities. + Are able to drive continuous improvement. **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
