Reliability Coordinator

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Reliability Coordinator will be responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to maximize equipment reliability. The incumbent will establish maintenance strategies and methods to improve site equipment reliability.

 

Reports To:  Maintenance Leader

 

Span of Control:  No direct reports

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Drive a zero Environmental Health & Safety incident culture, support and participate in incident investigations to determine root cause and identify preventive actions, and correct unsafe conditions and acts immediately Perform Root Cause Analysis on chronic maintenance and control issues to develop solutions, improve reliability and reduce life-cycle cost. Problem resolution techniques – 5-Why; Ishikawa; Breakdown Analysis, A3, etc. Promote consistency by standardizing equipment, procedures and operations. Provide daily support for troubleshooting, planning, and repair. Train and develop others in reliability driven concepts and techniques. Assure the delivery of reliable equipment from engineering concept to production. Accomplish other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as asked.

 

TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

 

Willingness to work very hands on with physical equipment within the Plant Ability to develop Standard Maintenance Procedures & Standard Operating Procedures. Utilizing Data Collection and analysis to identify equipment/process problems and drive for resolution. Strong Understanding of Fundamental Electrical Concepts Strong Understanding of Fundamental Mechanical Concepts Understanding of Fundamental Controls Concepts and Equipment (ie. Line Drawings, Logic, Drives…) Functional Knowledge of CAD/CAM Software (ie. AutoCAD, Inventor…) Planning, organizing, and reporting out projects, process solutions, and repairs Ability to work within a team, as well as independently Works with a sense of urgency while maintaining a focus on safety Customer focused decision making Builds strong working relationships with site resources, divisional resources, and vendors Strong communication skills

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1-4 years manufacturing experience Familiar with Six Sigma/Lean Methodologies Understanding of Fundamental TPM Concepts

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Associates or Technical Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering / Industrial Technology / Engineering Technology Preferred – Experience may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications. 1-5 years roofing shingle manufacturing experience - Preferred Six Sigma/Lean Green or Black Belt Microsoft Software: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint RWP: SAP and WMS CAD/CAM Software: AutoCAD, Inventor 1-2 years of TPM background - Preferred
