• Purpose of Position:
The Reliability Engineer II/III follows the reliability lifecycle of the product, from concept to design, development, manufacturing, field operation, and field returns. In this role you will be responsible to implement DFR (Design for Reliability) tools to grow reliability at every stage of product development to meet program Reliability goals as defined by the program RPP (Reliability Program Plan). Develop and implement RPP for new product design to define quality and reliability matrix and field trial test plans to drive reliability growth. Own the program RPP and Reliability at a Glance reports by milestone with target and actual results of each milestone.
• Key Responsibilities:
o Accountable for all assigned Reliability Engineering deliverables from concept through production.
o Execute all Design for Reliability activities for multiple platform and sub-system level projects.
o Facilitate Design, System, Service, and Process FMEA sessions to drive reliable design choices and improve validation test planning.
o Establish Reliability Plan requirements for components, assemblies, subsystems, and Systems.
o Analyze usage and environmental conditions from the field to improve requirement setting and testing methods.
o Create Fault Trees and reliability block diagrams to assess system reliability.
o Develop accelerated test methods to explore failure modes and grow reliability.
o Develop reliability validation plans for components, assemblies, sub-systems, and systems.
o Facilitate failure analysis to understand root cause and drive resolution for failures originating in testing and from the field.
o Work with manufacturing quality, service engineering, supplier quality and design teams to facilitate field failure resolution.
o Conduct in-depth Life Data Analyses (aka Weibull) to support all investigations.
o Provide reliability design guidelines and apply reliability lessons learned to enable continuous improvement.
o Effective troubleshooting and Root cause analysis (RCA) of field issues
o Qualify lab test samples meet requirements utilizing statistical tools.
• Education & Experience: The ideal candidate will have
o Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics
o 2-4 years in electrical component testing preferred
• Background and Skills: The ideal candidate will have

o Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 2-5 years of relevant industry experience.
o Demonstrated data driven and analytical problem-solving skills
o Ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
o Demonstrated experience working with and improving reliability of complex electro-mechanical systems.
o Demonstrated application of Design for Reliability (DFR) tools leading to improvement of hardware and system design
o Hands on knowledge of Reliability data analysis tools, including Weibull++, RGA, xFMEA or other similar software packages.
o Working knowledge of applied statistics and experience with statistical software such as JMP and Minitab.
o Understanding of quality and reliability monitoring metrics and reliability KPIs
