Job Description Summary
The Reliability Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager will work to drive out top losses on a 24-hour cycle. The position uses continuous improvement tools, leadership skills, and is responsible for fostering a team environment. The reliability engineer is responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses, building capability in Operating Teams and Equipment Owners to deliver overall line performance. This position is located in our Kiel, WI manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive standard practices around preventative and predictive maintenance process.
Work with the maintenance and engineering team to develop and implement viable solutions to prevent reoccurring equipment breakdowns.
Maintain a high level of effectiveness around CMMS and spare parts availability, ensuring equipment maintenance strategies and reliability standards are in place for the Kiel, WI facilities.
Drive reduction in unplanned down time, discovery work and repeat events (incidents and near miss) therefore reducing overall life cycle cost and increasing operating profit.
Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations including capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues.
Define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring progress pertaining to equipment or process reliability.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
BS/BA degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, developing, leading, and executing proven maintenance reliability programs, key contributor in maintenance budgeting processes, and frontline maintenance leadership. Prior experience in a food and/or chemical continuous processing plant preferred.
Ability to develop strategic partnerships across the company and with third party contractors to increase overall reliability.
Strong understanding of industrial, mechanical and electrical technologies.
Proficient with CMMS and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PP.
Thorough mechanical and solid food manufacturing and equipment knowledge.
Knowledge of Regulatory Agencies and following quality guidelines (GMP’s HACCP, etc.).

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication (both written and verbal) skills, Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong technical problem-solving skills, critical thinking and proven project management experience with coordination of multiple projects simultaneously.
Effectively communicate strategy, goals and results across the organization as it relates to Maintenance and within the Maintenance Organization.
Pay: $79,200.00 - 118,800.00 USD annually. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
Note: This role may require off shift hours, weekend or holidays as require.
