Who will you be working with?
You will be part of the RCoE (Reliability Center of Excellence) team within the GSO (Global Services Operations) structure.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Reliability Engineering team, you will be responsible for:
Owning and driving reliability technical evaluations and projects to support fleet performance in South America, in partnership with Service Leaders and FPMs.
Leading efforts to find solutions for product reliability issues at various levels of complexity, collaborating with RCoE, Engineering, Quality, Product Management, and Supply Chain.
What do we want to know about you?
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or services role.
Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
Must have advanced English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Solid additional experience in locomotive field services, supply chain, manufacturing, or maintenance positions. This role requires extensive locomotive product and technical knowledge from day one.
Experience in project management is desired.
Demonstrated networking abilities and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver commitments on time.
Strong oral and written communication skills, able to interface with all team levels internally and externally.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Commitment to customer satisfaction.
Sound technical expertise and analytical skills.
Six Sigma Greenbelt and Blackbelt certifications are a plus.
What will your typical day look like?
Drive internal and customer communication and reports regarding fleet reliability performance, reliability cases, warranty, and issue investigations for the topics under his/her responsibility.
Support the accuracy of tracking systems (eServices, CCD, Reliance, and other systems) and develop projects/FMIs to meet internal targets for assigned fleets and customers.
Work closely with engineering, fleet management, commercial, and program management teams to identify and implement solutions to reliability issues.
Develop field tests (FTONs) with FPM, Engineering, Service Leaders, and the GLO Program Management team.
