Join our team and start your journey today! **Description** This position provides support to Quality, Product Engineering, and Product Management, and focuses on developing and coordinating Global NPD test plans of finished products based on Product Engineering, field usage, and customer-specified life requirements. This includes functional and reliability testing. **As the Reliability Engineer, YOU WILL:** + Build and implement test plans that align with FMEA & application risk, physics of failure subject area, product requirements, and business objectives. The testing and reliability evaluation cover finished products and sub-assemblies, such as coordinated gas furnace controls, mechanical and digital thermostats, transformers, contactors, relays, Cold Chain monitors, and controls. + Maintain reliability test plans updated and stored in a database. + Proficiently perform structured failure analysis + Supply to and participate in new product development gate review processes, risk assessments, and product launch decisions. Effective communication with internal and external collaborators will be required. + Provide special services on sophisticated products or product components, using performance specifications and related agency standards for Electronics & Controls. + Lead NPD initiatives related to specific projects or systemic improvements. + Develop and implement new and evolving electronics testing equipment and reliability methodologies via collaboration with informative institutions, professional conferences and societies, equipment manufacturers, etc. **Required education, experience & skills:** + A BS or BA in a related technical or science field or equivalent experience. We seek Mechanical Engineers who have a good grasp of physical stress models and possess sufficient knowledge of statistics to accomplish the tasks at hand. If you have experience as an EE, that would be useful as well. Otherwise, collaboration with the Suzhou RE team may be vital. + Support all elements of the Electronics & Controls quality program, and New Products Development Process, and understand the elements of ISO9001. + Optimally drive overall improvement in product reliability via Reliability Growth Modeling. + Confirmed understanding of quality techniques and structured problem-solving processes (e.g. SPC, MSA, Lean, 5S+1, FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, etc.) + Intermediate level understanding and application of Reliability Theory and data analyses + Excellent written and oral communication skills. + Ability to travel and work together with Global customers and suppliers; occasional travel is required (25%). + Computer programming and data acquisition skills. **Our Commitment to Our People** Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
