Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels As a Reliability Engineer, you will be supporting the reliability engineering group transition from a planned maintenance model to a predictive maintenance model. The Reliability engineer will be supporting the direction of the reliability engineering group activities across the manufacturing areas. Through the collection of engineering data, from multiple sources, analyzing, then reporting of trends and making informed recommendations to the Reliability Engineer Manager. Responsible for working with the operations, manufacturing, and technical groups to analyze and report trends to support OEE, Yield and ER activities. **This is on onsite opportunity in Buffalo Grove, IL.** **What You'll Do** + Responsible for the collection of engineering data from multiple sources, analyzing, then reporting of trends and making informed recommendations to the Reliability Engineering Manager + Responsible for working with the operations, manufacturing, and technical groups to analyze and report trends to support OEE, Yield and ER activities. + Responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the manufacturing equipment through data analysis, continuous improvement projects, and working closely with operations and maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment is optimized and suitable for the production of medical devices. + Responsible for communicating and developing good relationships with internal Operations, Engineering, QA, R&D, Technical functions, and external suppliers. + Takes an active role in technical investigations, RCA, CIP and addressing obsolescence. + Provide SME input to internal and external audits as required. + Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for EHS performance and compliance through active participation and support of Abbotts EHS Program. + Keep up to date with the latest technological developments within the medical device /pharmaceutical industry. + Suggest methods of improving the cost effectiveness of existing products and processes. + Responsible for providing timely updates to internal and external stakeholders. + Ensure all designated project activities are implemented in line with ADC quality and compliance guidelines. + Ensure that agreed project deliverables meet the customer’s requirements. **Experience You'll Bring** **Required** + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent. + Exposure to elements of Operations, GMP, GLP, Technical and Quality. + Evident communication, decision-making, problem solving leadership skills. + Experience and practical implementation of modern manufacturing tools and techniques. + Evidence of implementation of continuous improvements and leadership. + Experience of driving continuous improvement projects within an operations environment. The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
