As a Lab Manager & Reliability Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing our laboratory operations and ensuring the overall reliability and performance of our products. Combining your expertise in laboratory management and reliability engineering, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the lab while driving initiatives to enhance product reliability. Your responsibilities will include managing lab resources, coordinating testing activities, analyzing product failure data, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve reliability issues. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. With your passion for continuous improvement and your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, you will contribute significantly to the reliability and success of our product portfolio. You will report directly to our Hardware Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Raleigh, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

\nIn this role, you will have a direct impact on the overall reliability and performance of our products. Your expertise in laboratory management will ensure efficient and effective testing processes, while your reliability engineering skills will fortify our products against vulnerabilities. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will establish a proactive and integrated approach to product development. Through comprehensive reliability testing, including accelerated life testing, analysis of product failure data, and implementation of corrective actions, you will significantly enhance the overall reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities

\n\n\n\tManage laboratory operations, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and testing coordination\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional team to plan testing for new products \n\tSupport testing of new products during development\n\tDesign tests and analyze results to guarantee products meet Honeywell quality standards\n\tAnalyze product failure data, identifying root causes and trends to implement corrective actions and improve product reliability.\n\tConduct comprehensive reliability testing, including accelerated life testing\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve reliability issues\n\tProvide technical guidance and support to the lab team and other stakeholders

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics6 years experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of laboratory operation and management principles and practicesExperience with / perform product quality testing such as accelerated life testingExperience in analyzing product failure data and implementing corrective actionsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong leadership and organizational abilities\n\n
