Business Title:\t\t\tReliability Engineering Co-Op\nEffective Date / \t\nLast Modification Date:\t\t07.MAR.2022 - DRAFT\n\nSummary: \nThe main focus of this position is to provide support for the Engineering department.\n\nEssential Functions: \n\tResearches, develops and implements processes and procedures necessary to establish a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture to improve equipment performance and reliability. Constantly support on the new tools and methods to make the maintenance group a more reliability focused, proactive work group\n\tReports on KPIs that represent the performance of the maintenance systems and assets\n\tSupports on work execution management elements, including but not limited to 1) MRO Spares 2) PM optimization 3) Bill of Materials and 4) CMMS Readiness\n\tImplements maintenance optimization reviews of each asset's criticality, functional importance and duty cycle and establishes best-practice maintenance activities required to detect early signs of functional failures.\n\tDevelops the use of asset criticality matrix and spare parts criticality analysis ranking tools.\n\tDevelopment and maintenance of on-line database of all projects.\n\tProvide clerical support for project specifications.\n\tSupports on Lean 5S project initiatives.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nEducation: \nHigh school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required\nWorking towards University degree or College diploma in an Engineering or trades program of study\nChemical program is preferred\n8-12 month commitment period is an essential\n\nExperience: \nRequires no previous Reliability Engineering experience. \nAny working experience in Engineering, Maintenance or Facilities department in a Manufacturing company would be preferred.\n\nEquivalency: \nEquivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. \n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to prioritize multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills. Must be able to work well with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain high degree of confidentiality for work assigned. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Proficiency with the English language.
