Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Reliability & FA Lab Support Intern located in our Milpitas, CA site.

Reporting to the Design Test Engineering Manager, the Intern will support the Failure Analysis and Reliability Laboratory and will be exposed to a wide variety of analytical lab equipment and methods used to characterize/evaluate/test electronics assemblies and products, electronics parts and materials.

What a typical day looks like:

Assists with updating FA and Reliability Lab CapabilitiesAssists charting cross-sections measurements with Excel, create a template and train the team.Gets Involved in supporting ISO/IEC 17025 2017 complianceAssists with updating Lab documentation as neededTrains on Materials Characterization equipment and Techniques (like cross-sections, Dye&Pull, C3, SEM/EDX, Digital microscopes, Akrometrix…)Assists on material characterization as neededReviews, benchmarks FA and Reliability Lab internal service costs (Dye&Pry)Participates in Calibration and maintenance activities.

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

Master’s level Materials Science major, or Business Engineering Management majorWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Great communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate with manager and coworkersAble to work independently with minimum supervisionAble to send emails, draft documentation by Laboratory requirementsDemonstrated Hands-on skillsEnergetic and enthusiastic individualAble to move from one project to another

Internship Program Requirements:

Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignmentCurrently enrolled in Master’s Degree Program in 4-year accredited university3.0 minimum GPA

Pay Range (Applicable to California)$20.68 USD - $28.44 USD Hourly
