Description
Reliability Instructor (RTSI an ATS Company)
Reliability Testing Services (RTSI), an Applied Technical Services company, is seeking a Reliability Instructor. This position will be responsible for delivering all facets of our reliability & PdM technology training and services to our employees & clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 10-15 years’ experience in reliability & instructing PdM. This is a heavy travel position.
Responsibilities:
+ Train new employees in PdM technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, field balancing, electric motor testing, laser alignment & lube oil analysis).
+ Develop continuing education courses for current employees.
+ Travel to client sites to provide reliability & PdM training for clients
+ Develop new reliability & PdM training modules to offer employees &clients.
+ Maintain professional and technical knowledge and certifications.
+ Deliver training material using an instructor-led methodology
+ Prepare and set-up classroom: seating, charts, job-aids, trainee manuals, handouts, A-V equipment
+ •Effectively interact with training class participants and respond to participant questions
+ Accurately take attendance, efficiently distribute and collect evaluation forms, and administer general course exams and certification exams
+ Communicate training and logistical needs and issues with appropriate administrative staff
+ Make personal travel arrangements for all training engagements (e.g., airfare, lodging, rental car, etc.)
+ Present program content using job-specific analogies, examples and a variety of presentation techniques
+ Consistently achieve high ratings as a trainer
+ Proactively maintain and develop technical industry knowledge related to equipment, applications, competitors, etc.
+ Proactively identify personal training opportunities for professional development related to instructor/technical role
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
+ Strong working knowledge of PdM technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, ultrasonics, infrared thermography, etc.)
+ Effective working knowledge of rotating machinery
+ Excellent instructor skills
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Outstanding computer skills, including profound knowledge of the Microsoft suite
+ Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment
+ Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
+ Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
+ Travel required (50% estimated)
+ The ideal candidate will have at least 10-15 years’ experience in reliability & instructing PdM.

Work Conditions:
+ Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
+ Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
+ Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
+ Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
+ Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
+ Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
