Responsible for technical support to manufacturing site including Maintenance, Tooling and Engineering functions and personnel.  Includes establishing the expectations, methods, and philosophies of a Reliability approach commensurate with Novolex/World Class methods including training, philosophies, and skill level development.  Manages Process Engineers, Tooling Functions, and Capital Expenditure budget/projects for the site. 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Directs and coordinates the activities of the Maintenance and Tooling departments and Process Engineering teams. Cooperates with the Tooling Design Manager in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of all tooling. Leader of Operational Excellence and Efficiency projects to improve performance and or lower costs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost). Responsible for leading the site reliability journey; through the use of workorders, a planning CMMS, reliability metrics, etc.:  Including storeroom organization, craftsmen program skills and using data to drive Continuous Improvement planned events. Conduct daily safety audit walks.  Evaluate equipment and ensure guarding, safety behaviors and safety focus are paramount at all times. Manage the repairs and maintenance budget, storeroom organization and working capital of supplies, tooling, and spare parts. Participate in any/all activities and projects as a member of site leadership team. Develop, coach and conduct performance reviews for direct reports using Novolex Success Factors and address employee issues as required. Audit asset performance, breakdown, unscheduled down time, scheduled down time, and preventive maintenance. Responsible for work order management process for entire site. Responsible for the purchase of materials needed for work orders and services needed to maintain equipment and facilities. Develop and manage projects to support CapEx, site improvements and changes as governed by business needs. Directly supervises employees as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. \n Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Field or equivalent demonstrated experience preferred. 5-7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience leading an organization using a CMMS or equivalent maintenance management system. Must demonstrate proficiency with written and oral communication to subordinates, peers, leadership, suppliers, customers, and the public. Experience leading reliability/maintenance department in a Thermoforming Plant Experience with data analysis, metrics reporting, pareto analysis and trending production losses Experience with Failure Modes & Effects Analysis Experience in reading, analyzing and interpreting business periodicals, technical procedures or government regulations. Experience with Predictive and Preventative Reliability processes to identify and track asset health issues. Experience with Asset Strategy Development and Root Cause Analysis \n
