Reliability Manager

The Opportunity:

The Reliability Manager will be responsible for managing the Mill Reliability program overseeing the vibration and lubrication department. instrumental in managing the maintenance department’s vibration and lubrication programs. Responsibilities include the following:

Monitoring JDE work management system and daily process area lost time for consistency and accuracy in work order category and failure codes. 

Daily process area lost time tracking to the asset id.

Analyzing the JDE work management system and process area lost time database for bad actors, equipment with a high cost to maintain and/or equipment causing process area lost time. 

Lead RCFA efforts thru team selection and insuring RCFA records are documented and maintained. 

Lead monthly reliability meetings with maintenance department superintendents and managers. The meeting agenda should consist of RCFA investigation update, bad actor equipment status update, overall mill vibration metrics, and reliability improvement project status. 

Lead, manage, train, and develop  the department personnel including the salaried and hourly employees (about 15 people).

Develop and lead departmental cost projects with a target goal of 3-5M in cost savings.

Lead, plan, and schedule projects through the JDE work management system. 

The position reports to Maintenance Manager equipment problems, equipment high cost to maintain and equipment in immediate danger of failure in order to avoid process area lost time. 

Reliability equipment calibration and repair. 

JDE PM entries and optimization 

Reduce process area lost time and equipment cost to maintain thru predictive and preventive maintenance task completions.

Responsible for budget development and management related to projects.

Document solutions for future application

Required Skills

5+ Maintenance Reliability experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment required 

Root Cause Failure Analysis experience

CMMS system experience

MicroSoft Office proficiency required;  Proficient in Excel; MS Project and PowerPoint a plus

Power Point a plus  

Willingness to become proficient in programs as needed required.

Data Analysis and reporting experience

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong management skills

Required to work weekends every 7 weeks and as needed if/when there are machine failure.

Papermill experience preferred; manufacturing/industrial experience required.
