Position Summary:

 

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining equipment job plans and scheduling all maintenance work.  The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler works closely with maintenance supervision, production scheduling, and production supervision to coordinate maintenance work with production.      

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

​​Collaborates with Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervision, and Production Scheduling regarding work to be performed.

​Reviews requested work breaking it down into component tasks in job plans.

​Identifies required technical skills to perform maintenance tasks

​Provides time estimates to perform maintenance work.

​Identifies and reserves all required materials for planned and scheduled maintenance work

​Prepares job packets that include required specifications, diagrams, drawings, and work instructions for the job.

​Coordinates outside contractors to perform work if required

​Schedules preventive, predictive, and planned corrective maintenance work

​Prepares 4 week rolling forecast and weekly schedule for maintenance technicians

​Leads Weekly Coordination Meeting with Production, Production Scheduling, and Maintenance Supervisor to agree on upcoming maintenance schedule

​Closes completed work orders after reviewing for required information and adequate detail.

​Analyzes completed jobs, identifying opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the work plan.  

​Maintains maintenance work management metrics​

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required:

Education: Associate degree or relevant experience.

Experience: Two or more years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance or relevant technical experience.     

 

 

 

Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrates competency in Word, Excel, Control, and Swagelok Data Warehouse.  Strong communication skills required.
