Job Title: Relief Community Support Worker
Fixed Term Contract 12 months, Variable hours/week
Location: RehabCare Galway High Support Needs, Galway
About the Role:
To assist in the delivery of individualised community support to a number of individuals with intellectual, The Relief Community Support Worker will assist the Community Services Manager and Team Leader in the delivery of a quality individual focused service. They will work individually and as part of a team providing high quality care and rehabilitative support to adults with Acquired Brain Injury and/or other neurological conditions in the community in a person centred service. They will be covering annual leave and sick leave and other available shifts within the service. They will be responsible for implementing and ensuring RehabCare standards while overseeing the delivery of a quality, customer focused service.

Your Responsibilities:
To support service users to carry out rehabilitation programmes for physical, cognitive and emotional impairment to maximise quality of life. To liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams and other personnel, as directed by the management team, to ensure the best quality of service with the individuals as directed by community services manager. To document information and complete paperwork as deemed necessary for delivery of service to the individuals. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, logistical and IT skills. To adhere to and ensure the required standards in line with HIQA regulations and reporting to HIQA is maintained. To maintain a high delivery of service in line with Health and Safety standards and regulations. To contribute to the overall development of the service and promote a positive image of the service users and RehabCare services. To carry out any other duties requested by Senior Management, which are within the scope of the post.
Additional Requirements:
Minimum QQI Level 5 preference is for Health and Social Care or equivalent. Willingness to participate in RehabCare mandatory and further development training programme. Training in psychology, ABA or a related discipline is desirable. Full Driving Licence and own means of transport.
If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland
