About the role:
At Real Life Options we support our service users to live their life the way they choose, we have a strong emphasis on person centred care to enable our service users to live as independently as possible.
Working with individuals with a variety of needs you will provide support with:
helping with finances, personal care domestic support medication.A crucial part of the support you provide will be centred on social activities in the local community such as; going to the gym, swimming, cinema, discos, football matches and visiting places of interest.
The people we support receive 1:1 and 2:1 throughout the day.
Shift pattern and working hours;
Successful applicants will cover a variety of shifts across the services including sleepovers. Staff may also be required to do Waking Nights to cover holidays/ sickness.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 6 months experience in support worker (or similar) role. Our service users present challenging behaviour, therefore experience with this is essential. Candidates should have the ability to follow detailed support plans to ensure a consistent approach. Candidates need to be able to learn different forms of communication and adapt to working with several individuals with varying needs.
Working with the people we support is incredibly rewarding. You will be part of a supportive, responsive and friendly team. There is a huge amount of knowledge and experience in our staff team. We have an attrition rate of less than 10%, which is excellent for the sector and a reflection of what a good place this is to work.
.An Enhanced PVG is required for this role. Previous experience is desirable for this position although full training will be provided.
