(Remote)Airframe Analysis Engineer Job Number: 355519 Category: -Engineering & Design SBU Description: An Airframe Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY or via remote support. This job is a full-time direct position or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, and experience in airframe structural analysis. Job Duties: * Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical hand stress calculations * Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer * Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated * Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings * Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers * Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer * Manage your own project work and provide mentorship to others Required Qualifications: * Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering * Five or more years of experience performing airframe structural analysis and possess strong technical ability * Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes * Hand calculation skills and Finite element analysis capabilities using Femap/Nastran (FEA) * Ability to work independently, while adhering to strict timelines * Static and fatigue analysis experience * Mentoring or leadership experience * Experience taking control of a task from start to finish * Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills * Must have excellent computer skills * Legal authorization to work in the US required * Travel to customer and work site locations as required Preferred Qualifications & Skills: * VBA or similar programming skill set * Interiors analysis experience We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $85,000 to $120,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
