The Remote and Autonomous Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the seamless integration and operation of all technical aspects within the Remote Operation Centre and autonomous technologies. This includes managing connectivity, IT infrastructure, and communications systems to support cutting-edge remote and autonomous operations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the technical strategy for the development, deployment, and maintenance of IT and communication systems within remote and autonomous operations.

Manage a team of IT Network Specialists, Technical Analysts, and Technical Support Specialists, ensuring high levels of technical support and system reliability.

Oversee the design and implementation of secure and robust network infrastructures that support remote and autonomous technologies.

Collaborate with the Remote Operations Centre Manager and Autonomous Operations Manager to align technical capabilities with operational needs and objectives.

Ensure the technical team is equipped to provide rapid response and resolution to connectivity and system issues, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.

Develop and maintain standards for system performance, including implementing monitoring tools and conducting regular system audits to anticipate and address potential issues proactively.

Stay abreast of technological advancements and cybersecurity trends, ensuring the organization’s remote and autonomous operations leverage cutting-edge solutions for enhanced efficiency and security.

Manage technical project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with a strong background in IT network management, systems engineering, or a related area.

Proven experience in managing technical teams and complex IT projects.

Strong knowledge of network architectures, data communication, and IT infrastructure relevant to remote and autonomous operations.

Expertise in cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Familiarity with remote operation technologies and autonomous systems is highly desirable.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and operational needs.
