Remote Bilingual Medical Information Specialist

Location: Canada remote (Currently not hiring in Quebec).
\n \n \nSchedule: 8-hour shift between the Hours of 8am-8pm Mon-Fri.
\n \n \nPay: Up to CAD 22.33 per hour.
\n \n \n\n \n \n
A customer-focused individual who serves as the primary resource for customers contacting the Information Center regarding products and services. The Forms Processor/Documentation Specialist utilizes his/her healthcare experience and product/disease state training to effectively and consistently communicate specific product and/or disease state information via e-mail and other written/digital communication. The variety of subjects handled is extensive (e.g., product information, pricing, patient education materials, product quality complaints, adverse experiences and more).
\n \n \nThe Medical Information Specialist utilizes excellent communication and organizational skills while working independently in a call center environment. They must be able to build rapport with customers, both internal and external, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, while responding to customers’ inquiries.
\n \n \nAdditionally, the Medical Information Specialist may contribute to outbound initiatives, making contact with customers to clarify information received on phone and non-phone inquiries.

Responsibilities:
\n \n \nEvaluate, respond to and/or escalate phone and/or non-phone customer inquiries as appropriate.
\n \n \nProvide product and disease state information covering both on and off label information within the guidelines of Standard Responses
\n \n \nProvide world-class customer service and immediate resolution to inquiries
\n \n \nEffectively and consistently communicate messages, product information and/or specific offers to physicians, health care staff and/or consumers via email, digital, written and/or occasional outbound tele-service communication.
\n \n \nComply with all industry regulations including adverse event and product quality processes
\n \n \nManage all assigned project work in a timely manner
\n \n \nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of product, medical, disease and industry information
\n \n\n\n \nObtain pertinent customer information and record customer interactions in appropriate systems
\n \n \nInteract with team members to manage a broad number of product, medical and business issues and share best practices
\n \n \nHandling of PHI and other sensitive and/or confidential business and medical information
\n \n \n\n \n \n
Qualifications:
\n \n \n6 - 12 months experience in a call center and customer service environment within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry or within another healthcare setting is desirable
\n \n \nFluent in English and French (able to read, write and speak the language)
\n \n \nPreferred experience providing medical information and customer service to healthcare professionals over the phone or via written communication strongly preferred
\n \n \nExperience within a regulated area which may include quality, safety or other similar area and a working knowledge of Medical Communications/Information is desirable.
\n \n \nDemonstrated competency using information technology, PCs and databases
\n \n \nExcellent verbal, telephone communication and written skills required
\n \n \nAbility to multitask, good organizational and time management skills
\n \n \nGood problem solving and decision-making skills
\n \n \nGood interpersonal skills with team player attitude
\n \n \n\n \n \n
Education:
\n \n \nA graduate of any 4-year college program (BS or BA) preferably any health sciences discipline such as Nursing; Pharmacy is preferred.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
